Hello Everyone! Well I had a successful couple of weekends. On August 6th & 7th I was at Paisano days in Anderson CA and then on Aug 15th I was at The Untouchables Car show in Kalama WA and was well received at both craft fairs! Thanks to everyone that came down to see me at the shows, and a special thanks to all those new members who joined after seeing me at one of the shows! Coming soon - within the next week - will be all sorts of new products on the website! I have a number of new books to add on, plus I will be adding my jewelry onto the site. So keep checking and I'll see you soon! Also, keep in mind I am open to doing personalized items! Just email me at scrappisammi@yahoo.com!

Christmas is such a beautiful time of the year. For me it's all about finding the perfect gift for my loved ones. There is nothing better than seeing the response when a gift really hits the heart! This year it seems as though people are looking less at the big ticket "WOW" items, and turning to the smaller, meaningful items that are from the heart. Sometimes we get cought up in the idea that we have to spend a lot to make an impression, yet what are the gifts you remember the most? Those thoughtful homemade gifts... an ornament your niece made, a christmas moose statue your husband painted, or the french dressing bottle that's been a part of your family for 60 years. So this year, don't get hung up on how much you've spent on the gift, but how much thought and love you've invested.

We are closing in on one of my favorite holidays, Halloween. To me it's just so much fun to dress up and act like a kid again for one night out of the year. I never got to go trick or treating when I was young because we lived so far away from any neighborhood. As a matter of fact, the only time I ever went was long after I was too old for it. But I was always visited by The Great Pumpkin. He would always leave a bucket of goodies at my door. Candy, small toys, pencils & coloring books all wrapped up in a jack-o-lantern bucket. So many memories, I think I may sift through some pictures of old costumes & friends and make a myself a halloween album to set out for the holiday. That's the best thing about scrapbooking - being able to take yourself down memory lane any time you want!

Where is fall? Here we are 3/4 of the way through September & still the heat is on us here in northern California? One of the things that I have discovered about scrapbooking is that it is always easier to find time to do it when it's cold & rainy outside. I am longing to hold myself up in my room, a cup of coffee & some good movies and just spend the whole day creating! What do you enjoy doing on a rainy day?

Well folks, here it is... my first blog on my brand new website! You know, sometimes in life you look around at what you've done and what you're doing, and you wish for something more. That is what I've been doing for the last year. There isn't much else that makes me as happy as scrapbooking, so I decided to try to find a way to make it my career. What a great concept, your work making you happy!
So, this is the beginning of me trying to share my love of scrapbooking and the preservation of photos & memories with as many people as I can! And remember, more is being added to the site every day!
